A man in his 40s is due before Cork District Court this morning charged in relation to the murder of John McManus in November 2008.
The man was arrested this morning.
A woman in her 30s is also due before Cork District Court later charged in connection with the same murder.
Mr McManus, (aged 25), originally from Fermoy, had been living at an address on Wellington Road in Cork city when he disappeared.
Mr McManus was last seen alive on October 30, 2008, and his body was found in undergrowth on a rural road near Ballyduff in Co Kerry on November 6 of that year.
A post mortem revealed he had suffered a violent death.
The female suspect was arrested by detectives in Cork yesterday.
