Tallaght Hospital in Dublin said today that there are no unopened GP referral letters for either its adult or paediatric services.
Amid the fallout from the x-ray controversy, there it was claimed a backlog of thousands of letters existed.
The claims been denied in a statement from the hospital this afternoon, however they admit there are substantial waiting times for some of its specialty clinics.
The hospital also maintains that its staff continue to be focused on reducing the backlog at its radiology department.
